What sort of booth should I get?

That depends on your event. Open booths can be fun, but our signature enclosed booth allows the opportunity for your guests to surprise you with their photos. They also provide a bit more privacy for video messages, or to allow guests to be a bit more daring!

How much space does the booth need?

To set up our signature enclosed booth we require a space of approximately 3 metres by 3 metres. If you have less space, we can set up an open booth. This requires less space for the unit, but is a little less private.

When can I see the photos?

Our booth is unique in that it has a screen on the side which will show a slideshow of all the photos taken in the booth at your event. The photos on the slideshow are constantly updated throughout the night.

What about props?

Smile Time Photo Booth can provide a range of high quality props for your guests to use. Our props are supplied free with our both hire, but if you have something special or unique you would like please contact us and we will endeavour to cater to your requirements. If you would like to supply some of your own props that’s ok too.

Does the booth need power?

Yes. The booth needs to have a standard 10 amp power point. That is all we require. The closer we can set up to a power source the better. Our booth must be no further than 10 metres away from a power point.

Can the booth be setup outside? Upstairs?

Yes the booth can be set up outside. However, as the booth is a complex piece of electronic equipment, if the weather is likely to be wet, we will require an alternate indoor or undercover and sheltered location. If this is unable to be provided, we will unfortunately have to pack up the booth.

Upstairs is no problem. The modular nature of our booth means it is possible to transport it easily up stairs.

How long does it take to set up the booth?

Our booth generally takes approximately 20 minutes t set up and pack up. This time is not included in your hire time. If you need the booth to be in place before this time, talk to us. We are happy to be as flexible as we can to make your event a success.

How does the social media integration work?

We use dedicated software which connects directly to your guest’s twitter account to upload the photos. The software can also email their photos to an email account as well. Smile Time Photo Booth uses a dedicated mobile data point for this purpose. This facility is only available in areas where there is access to the Telstra 3G or 4G mobile data network.

Do I get a copy of the photos and videos from the booth?

Yes. At the end of the agreed hire time, our attendant will download and save your guests photos onto a USB data key, or external hard disk drive. It is up to you to supply a USB or HDD. We will also upload a full album to the Smile Time Photo Booth Facebook page for your guests to start tagging and sharing.
